We’re always looking for new ways to support foodbank users to get the support they need to resolve their crises. We have been working hard to provide even more services to our foodbank users face to face in the centres where they collect their food. We currently have trained debt advisers, legal advice for housing, a form filling service and council community hubs in our centres. Even with a wide range of drop in services available, we still need to work to ensure that people find the right kind of support for their situation.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is passionate about helping others find advice and support. Supported by the foodbank manager and a dedicated team of volunteers, you will work directly with foodbank users to show compassion and help them to find solutions to the issues they are facing.
This is a new role which is likely to evolve over time. In your role, you will have a hand in helping to create a service which puts the needs of the individual first and helps them to effectively face their challenges. For more information on the role call the foodbank manager on 07917902515.
